89年発売のテニスシューズCity Windの復刻モデル

当時のテニスシューズはプレーするコート別にソール性能を追求していた。その中で「CITY WIND」はオールコート用としてトップ、ミドル、ジュニアモデルと幅広く展開していたシリーズ。
今回の復刻でベースとなったのはトップ用に開発されたモデルで、ミッドソール部には衝撃吸収性に優れたEVAスポンジを採用し、ラバーのシェルソールでつつみこむことで安定性と耐久性を両立させ、さらにインサイド部のみラバー部をカットするハーフシェル構造を採用することで、屈曲性とアーチ部のフィット性を高める構造になっている。つま先部には耐久性を向上させるため、セメント接着後のアッパーとソールを更に縫い合わせる“オパンケ製法”を用いている。
ファッションシーンでの使用を想定したマテリアルにアップデートされた１足。
