Condition: Overall Good Preowned Used Condition! Has some scrapes， scratches and ware. A bit of surface rust on the lantern top ring. The top porcelain lantern top has a chip in the porcelain next to the hole. The original pyrex Coleman glass lense has No Chips No Cracks. Yellow case is nice. Has a few scuffs on it. Please see the pictures for best description of Condition. Let us know if you have any questions!

Vintage Coleman 1978 Dual Mantels Model 220 J Lantern. Nice Overall Condition! Being Sold AS-IS Untested!Many Accessories! Comes with the Yellow Coleman Lantern Carrying Case Dated 9-82 September 1982. Green Coleman Lantern is dated 10-78 October 1978. Comes with Original Coleman Pyrex Lense with No Chips No Cracks! This set has many accessories. Comes with a Coleman Funnel， Coleman Spout， Unopened Bag of Mantels. Very Nice Set what you see in the pictures is what you will receive! A Bit of History: The Coleman lantern was invented by W.C. Coleman in 1900 in Wichita， Kansas. It was the first pressurized， gasoline-fueled lantern available to the public， revolutionizing outdoor lighting and leading to the widespread popularity of camping. It quickly became a favorite among campers， hunters， and other outdoor adventurers. The original design used an open-flame mantel， which was eventually replaced in 1935 with a much safer closed-mantle design. This new design was a "tube-shaped， coiled mantle，" made of fiberglass and treated with certain chemicals， which when heated， produce a much brighter flame. In 1944， Coleman introduced its iconic green-and-white lanterns. The classic lantern design has remained largely unchanged since then - though there have been several models and improvements over the years. In 2015， Coleman introduced its first-ever LED lanterns， which provide a much brighter， more energy-efficient light.
